hypha

[ˈhʌɪfə]

noun 1.       To weave, warp, devise, produce

Hypha is a collective of women artists and curators based in the North East of England. Through a programme of gatherings, studio visits, exhibitions and events, their diverse practices are brought together to weave and reveal relationships between materials, processes and subject matter.

Gatherings are central to Hypha. Organised throughout the year, they bring the artists and invited guests together in a communal space to celebrate and share food, artwork and ideas.

Hypha was founded in 2022 by Catherine Bertola and Claire Morgan, to build a supportive, generous, and critically engaged community of artists.
